Surry Community College can be found in many places throughout Surry and Yadkin counties. In addition to courses and various academic and career services, the college has centers located in Elkin, Pilot Mountain, Yadkinville, Mount Airy and Dobson.
We offer students a variety of student services across each location, along with several fully online programs.

Located in Mount Airy, NC (behind Arby's), the Center for Public Safety offers many workforce training programs programs, public safety courses, trade classes and human resource development programs to help the unemployed and underemployed.
These programs include Emergency Medical, BLET (Basic Law Enforcement Training), Fire & Rescue, Career Readiness Certifications and computer skills courses.

The Elkin Center is one of two CLEAR Sites (Center for Learning, Education, And Retraining). This location hosts the Business and Industry Services and Customized Industry Training programs. A variety of classes are offered, including High School Equivalency (HSE), Workforce, Technologies, and Community Education programs, as well as core curriculum and Career and College Promise (CCP) courses.
The Elkin Center is conveniently located near the intersection of CC Camp Road and N. Bridge Street.

The Pilot Center is one of two CLEAR Sites (Center for Learning, Education, And Retraining). Offering Workforce, Technology, and Community Education classes as well as college credit curriculum classes. This Center is located about ten miles north of King, just a few miles east of U.S. Route 52, in the former Amos and Smith building on Main Street.
This center was made possible by a grant from the Golden Leaf Foundation to assist the Pilot Mountain community, and other east-side Surry County residents, to obtain workforce training and provide local educational access to help in the tough economy.

Established in 2003, the Center has grown to three buildings and over 55,000 square feet of instructional space. The Center offers degree, diploma, and certificate programs in Associate in Arts, Mechatronics, Machining, and Welding. Additionally, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Central Sterile Processing, Notary, Truck Driving, High School Equivalency (HSE), Fire Fighter, and many other courses are available at this location. The Center is also home to Yadkin County Early College High School. The Yadkin Center is located on highway 601 in the heart of Yadkinville, with quick and easy access to US-421.
