New students will need to apply online, then contact Student Services at (336) 386-3264 or email studentservices@surry.edu to schedule a Guide, Plan, Succeed (GPS) Session* with an advisor and register for classes.
*To be eligible to register for classes and a GPS session, students must have a complete admissions file, which typically includes official high school and other college transcripts and placement information.

Many grant and scholarship opportunities are available for WTCE students. Please complete the WTCE Scholarship and Financial Aid Form and a counselor will review your information to see if you are eligible for assistance. For additional assistance call (336) 386-3398.
Select courses are available for waitlist at this time and will be indicated after all seats have been taken. Choosing to waitlist a course does not guarantee you will receive a seat in a course. It does place you on a waiting list, should another section become available you will be registered, assuming your schedule has no conflicts.Your waitlist status will be communicated through your Surry email account. It is the student's responsibility to check their email in advance of the payment deadline to verify placement into another section. Failure to do so could result in being purged from all classes due to non-payment of tuition.

Delivered completely online via Moodle, students login at a time convenient for them for attendance, instruction, and to complete coursework. Interaction with the instructor and fellow students is through virtual chats, email, wikis, and the use of discussion forums.
Online (asynchronous) courses are designated with a section code of I (e.g., CIS-110-I1).

Online (synchronous) courses are designated with a section code of V (e.g., ART-111-V2G).
Combines classroom instruction with the interactivity of an online course. The Internet is used to deliver a portion (51 to 99%) of the course requirements, with the other delivered through on-site meetings.
Hybrid courses are designated with a section code of H (e.g., HUM-115-H1).
Combines classroom instruction with the interactivity of an online course. The Internet is used to deliver a portion (less than or equal to 50%) of the course requirements, with the other delivered through on-site meetings.
Blended courses are designated with a section code of B (e.g., MAT-152-B1).
Bringing together students located at multiple locations across North Carolina, communication is conducted through interactive use of television monitors, microphones, and video cameras. Students meet at a specific location at a specific time for attendance and instruction.
Information Highway courses are designated with a section code of T (e.g., COM-231-TI).
Delivered completely on-site, students meet at a specific location at specific times for attendance and instruction.
Traditional/seated courses are not designated with a section code (e.g., AHR-133-10).
