Flexible Payment Solutions That Allow You to Succeed

Students may set up a Tuition Payment Plan (NBS) to pay tuition and fees through a third-party. Through this plan, students have the option to pay in monthly installments through automatic deductions from a checking/savings account or to a credit card. There is a $30.00 per semester enrollment fee for this service.

An eligible student may now receive a full Federal Pell Grant for Summer Semester, even if they received a full Federal Pell Grant during the fall and spring semesters!

Payments will be automatically deducted from the account provided. A $30 set-up fee is required upon enrolling in the payment plan. A Payment Plan should be setup in order to stay enrolled in classes while waiting for Financial Aid. There is a $2 nonrefundable enrollment fee for an immediate full payment, and a $30 nonrefundable returned payment fee if a payment is returned.

Books cannot be budgeted using this plan. Out-of-state students may enroll in this program provided they will be paying the out-of-state tuition rates.

Once registered, full payments should be done through your "MyKnightLife" account Pay on My Account (Pay in Full - One Payment) under Quick Links.

Students receiving financial aid that does not cover their entire tuition bill need to pay the balance either in person in the Business Office of the “A” Building or online in MyKnightLife.

Out-of-state students seeking in-state rates through their NC Employer do not qualify for the payment plan.

Payment Methods & Adjustments

Payments are processed on the 5th or 25th of each month regardless and will continue until the balance is paid in full. If a payment is missed it will be re-attempted 15 days later. The following payment methods are excepted:

  • Automatic bank payment (ACH)
  • Credit card/debit card

Please do not assume your balance will be automatically adjusted if financial aid is received or a class is added/dropped. You MUST notify the Business Office of any changes made to your account. Please call the Surry Community College Business Office at (336) 386-3206 to confirm the changes.
