Surry Community College’s Yadkin Center offers a wide variety of college transfer classes.
Fall 2023 classes begin Aug. 17, and it’s not too late to register for these classes. Classes may be seated, online, or hybrid, which is a combination of seated and online.
Students can earn an Associate in Arts degree in Yadkinville at the Yadkin Center without having to take classes outside of Yadkin County.
“The college transfer program offers a quality education at an affordable price, giving students not only a chance to explore different classes before committing to a major but also a head start on a bachelor’s degree before attending a four-year college or university,” said Dr. Ashley Morrison, Vice President of Instruction at SCC.
High school students can take advantage of taking these classes tuition free through the Career & College Promise program. Students who have graduated recently from a Yadkin County high school can also apply for the Yadkin Guarantee in order to receive tuition assistance. Students should seek guidance from their high school advisors.
