Welding and Electrical Contractor Classes Begin in March including ‘Women for Welding’ Class

Surry Community has several Industrial Career classes starting in March.

Electrical Contractor Renewal (8 hours) or (4 hours) will be offered Saturday, March 2 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Room 107, The Pilot Center, 612 East Main Street, Pilot Mountain. North Carolina requires professional tradesmen to obtain yearly continuing education units. Pre-registration and pre-payment required. Cost is $71. Call (336) 386-3398 for more information.

Welding: GMAW MIG Plate will be held on Thursdays, March 21 through May 2 from 6 to 10 p.m. at The Yadkin Center, 1001 College Drive, Yadkinville. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required. Cost is $127, and supply fee is $15. Call (336) 386-3398 for more information.

Welding: TIG Basic/Plate will be held on Thursdays, March 21 through May 2, from 6 to 10 p.m. at The Yadkin Center, 1001 College Drive, Yadkinville. This course is ideal for anyone looking to learn TIG welding, which is the gas tungsten arc welding process. Pre-registration and pre-payment required. Cost is $127, and supply fee is $15. Welding for Women will be held on Mondays, March 18 through May 6, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Room S-116, Surry Community College, 630 S. Main Street, Dobson. This course is exclusively for women and will be led by a female welding instructor. Pre-registration and pre-payment required. Cost is $127, and supply fee is $15.
