Surry Community College is offering a 24-hour Medication Aide Course, beginning Oct. 10, and running through Oct. 19.
The course is designed to meet the training requirements for becoming qualified as a Medication Aide. Upon completion, students should be able to take the competency exam and demonstrate the skills necessary to qualify for listing on the North Carolina Medication Aide Registry.
Students wising the take the course must have a high school diploma or high school equivalency and have a current N.C. Nurse Aide I listing.
The course will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the Dobson Campus in Building J, Room 211. The fee for the course is $71, and those interested should contact Deborah Cave, Director Allied Health Programs, at (336) 386-3372 or caved@surry.edu.
