The commencement ceremony will be held in the gymnasium on the Surry Community College campus in Dobson based on your program of study as outlined below:
Accounting; Associate in Arts; Associate in Science; Associate in Fine Arts; Associate in General Education; Business Administration; Community Spanish Interpreter; Criminal Justice; Criminal Justice – Latent Evidence; Early Childhood; Horticulture; Medical Office Administration; Office Administration; Paralegal Technology; Spanish Language; Viticulture/Enology
Advertising & Graphic Design; Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology; Automotive Systems Technology; Collision Repair & Refinishing; Computer-Integrated Machining; Construction Management Technology; Cosmetology; Digital Media; Electrical Systems; Electronics Engineering; Engineering Design; Information Technology; Mechatronics Engineering; Medical Assisting; Nursing; Physical Therapist Assistant; Welding
Graduates must report to the A-Building Lobby no later than one hour prior to the beginning of the ceremony. It is very important that all graduates arrive on time to receive commencement routine instructions.
A limited supply of graduation regalia can be purchased from the College Bookstore during regular business hours prior to the day of the commencement ceremony.
If you are an honor graduate, honor cords will be issued at check-in. There will be no exceptions. Be reminded that honors is based on your overall SCC GPA, not your program GPA.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, guests will not be allowed to attend the event. However, the ceremony will be available through live stream at www.surry.edu.

To comply with mass gathering orders, all attendees must wear masks and practice social distancing guidelines.
If you, or a member of your household is exhibiting symptoms listed on the CDC’s COVID-19 Screening Checklist, or if you, or a member of your household has recently been exposed to or diagnosed with COVID-19, you should contact me directly to discuss your options for attending the graduation ceremony.
