SCC Small Business Center Provides Virtual Webinars


The Small Business Center at Surry Community College will be offering multiple online webinars this October, free of charge. These webinars cover a variety of topics ranging from tax information, marketing and financing your business.

The webinar Website Building 101 & 102 for Small Businesses will be held Oct. 5, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Learn how to quickly and efficiently design a website for your business with little technical knowledge.

The webinar How to Find Your Customers Using Social Media will be held Oct. 7, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This fast-paced class will teach you where and how to find your customers. Discover the variety of free market research tools that will give you critical information about your industry and customers.

The webinar How to Write a Business Plan will be held Oct. 12, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This seminar will teach you the important components of a business plan and help you lay the foundation for a winning plan. This seminar is designed for new and established business owners.

The webinar LinkedIn for Business will be held Oct. 21, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. In this seminar, you will learn how to create a compelling online presence that will attract customers to you. You will understand the five most important things to do on LinkedIn so that you can be found.

The webinar Financing Your Small Business will be held Oct. 26, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This seminar will get to the heart of business financing and help to answer your questions. Explore the advantages and disadvantages of the different types of funding sources and how to choose the right one for your needs.
