SCC Hosting Latin Dance and Heritage Celebration Thursday, January 31


Surry Community College will celebrate Latin Dance and Heritage on Thursday, Jan. 31, starting at 6 p.m. on its campus in the Shelton-Badgett North Carolina Center for Viticulture and Enology, 630 S. Main Street, Dobson. The event will be hosted by the Minority Male Success Initiative and Global Scholars programs at the college.

Attendees will enjoy salsa and other Latino dance instruction by Joey Marion, who will also be giving a talk about the relationship between dance and culture in the Latin American. Participants can purchase delicious Latin inspired food from the Thirsty Souls food truck (cash only) starting at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
