Register Now for Spring: Full Selection of In-Person Classes, Tuition Assistance Offered


Registration for current students begins November 1.

Registration for new or returning students begins November 8.

Spring classes start January 7.

Current Students

Current students will use Student Planning in myKnightLife to plan and register for their courses. View our Student Planning Quick Guide for additional information.

New Students

Apply online, then contact Student Services at (336) 386-3264 or email to schedule a Guide, Plan, Succeed (GPS) Session with an advisor and register for classes.*

*To be eligible to register for classes and a GPS session, students must have a complete admissions file, which typically includes official high school and other college transcripts and placement information.

All new spring students must attend a New Student Orientation session.

Students must be registered for classes before registering for an orientation session.

Important Dates

  • December 22, 2021: Last day to add full-semester courses
  • January 4, 2022: Financial aid, scholarship, and third-party assistance students can begin charging in the Bookstore
  • January 4, 2022: Spring tuition due by 6 PM for pre-registered students
    (Payment plans available here: Payment Plan - Surry Community College)
  • January 6, 2022: Last day for 100% tuition refund
  • January 6, 2022: Spring tuition due by 6 PM for all students
    (Payment plans available here: Payment Plan - Surry Community College)
  • January 6, 2022: New Student Orientation
  • January 7, 2022: Spring Classes Begin

Financial Aid/Payment Options

Apply for Scholarships, Financial Aid, or Yadkin Guarantee for the Spring.

Complete your application to ensure your financial aid is in place at the beginning of the semester by the June 1st priority deadline.

Financial Aid assistance is available Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Attention 2020 and 2021 high school graduates or high school equivalency graduates: You may be eligible to receive a Longleaf Commitment Grant up to $2,800 per year for two years—which means you could potentially earn a degree from Surry Community College, tuition free.

Veteran’s Services

Victory Media, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business that connects classrooms to careers for the nation’s next generation of professionals, has named Surry Community College as a Military Friendly® School every year consecutively since 2011. Tammy Fletcher is the Coordinator of Veterans Affairs at Surry Community College where she manages the Veterans Center, which was established to better serve military veterans enrolling at the college.
