Electronics Soldering Camp Held in June at Surry Community
Posted: May 22, 2019
The Electronics Engineering Soldering Workshop Camp will be held June 10 and June 11 at Surry Community College, 630 S. Main St., Dobson, from 9 a.m. to noon for students aged 11-14, and on June 12 and 13 for students aged 15-18. The cost is $30.
This two-day camp offers soldering safety and soldering tips for participants. A fun project will be assembled for campers to take home and enjoy. The camp will be instructed by William “Russ” Jones, SCC Electronics Lead Instructor.
“Camp participants do not need any prior experience in electronics or soldering,” Jones said. “I will cover everything they need to know during the camp sessions. At the end of the two-days, the participants will be proficient in soldering and understand how to do it safely.”
For additional information and camp registration, please contact Kasey Martin, Coordinator of Student and Community Engagement, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (336) 386-3468.
