“After attending Surry Community College as a
Career & College Promise, dually enrolled high school student, and
as a traditional student, I knew I wanted to come back and work here in
order to serve my community,” Jackson said. “As a student, I learned so
much from all staff and faculty that made me the person I am today. I
love the community that SCC has developed.”
She credits SCC with her educational success.

transfer to Lees-McRae's cohort program. My advisors helped me schedule
my remaining SCC classes in order to begin my B.S. degree early. This
helped me get a head start on my education and reach new heights in my
professional and academic life. Without the help of SCC, I would not be
where I am today,” she said.
As the Surry Early College High School Liaison, Jackson is able to help students grow in their various career paths.
“I am so proud that I am able to help students successfully continue their studies on their right academic track,” she said.
