All prospective Viticulture and Enology students are invited to visit the Surry Cellars winery and vineyard during the program’s Open House on Saturday, April 18, 2020, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Shelton-Badgett North Carolina Center for Viticulture and Enology on the campus of Surry Community College, 630 S. Main St., Dobson, N.C.

During the Viticulture and Enology Open House, students will meet Enology Instructor David Bower and Viticulture Instructor Sarah Bowman who will give participants a detailed tour of the campus vineyard and winery. Students, who are 21 and older with a valid picture ID, can also take part in the mini-wine tasting. Prospective students will also be able to apply to college and receive help with financial aid and class registration in preparation for the Fall 2020 semester.
Representatives from our Student Services office will be available from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. to assist with college applications, financial aid, and class registration. There will also be Viticulture and Enology Program and Sustainable Horticulture Certificate program information booths setup during this time.
The event is free, but pre-registration is required. Prospective students will also be entered for a chance to win a $250 scholarship.
