COVID-19 Response: Spring 2021 Semester Guidelines.

Ongoing Practices for Employees, Students, & Visitors

Surry Community College is committed to maintaining a healthy, safe environment while providing a high-quality educational experience for learners.

  • All students, faculty, staff, and visitors are required to wear a cloth face covering while at all SCC locations.
  • Daily wellness checks are required of all students, faculty, staff, and visitors. SCC will monitor workforce and student health with temperature checks and a reliance on daily self-checks by students and employees. Wellness check stations will be located throughout all locations. Please follow signage located in all areas for guidance.
  • Practice social distancing wherever possible.
  • Provide flexible, creative learning environments that are adaptable to any COVID-related developments.
  • Continue to cultivate a community of belonging for all SCC members.
  • Provide referrals to college and community resources.
  • Implement hygiene protocols.
  • Protect vulnerable populations.
  • Provide education to build awareness and combat misinformation.
