Program Overview

This course prepares the student to perform more complex skills for patients or residents. Those skills are approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Upon satisfactory completion of the CNA II course, the student will be listed with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Current cost of the Nurse Aide II listing is $24. This course is a 192-hour course.

Employment Opportunities:

Upon completion of this course, individuals should be able to apply for positions in hospitals and skilled facilities that recognize Nurse Aide II.

Learning Outcomes

Nurse Aide II students will:

  • Discuss the role of the NA II.
  • Compare and contrast the role of the NA II with that of the NA I and of the licensed nurse.
  • Discuss supervision required for the NA II.
  • Collaborate safely to provide care to individuals and assists interdisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate the skills of the NA II as delineated by the NCBON

Program Costs

Cost: $183 plus associated books, tools, and supplies

Virginia residents pay the same tuition rate as in-state students.
