Digital Storytelling - A Gift of a Lifetime

This 4 week (8 hour) course will explore the tradition of oral history. Oral histories are accounts of family life, significant events, places, etc. In this class, you will be introduced to the basics of oral history and learn interviewing techniques. Each participant will conduct and record an interview outside of class with a family member or a special person in the community. Students will then produce a DVD recording of the interview during class with the assistance of the instructor. This is a great opportunity to connect with family and community and create an heirloom to be cherished for years to come.
