Cake Decorating for Beginners

Join Stephanie Venable, owner of Granny Ruth’s Bakery, on your next cake decorating adventure. Students will learn the basics of using buttercream icing and fondant including: how to properly fill and ice a cake; basic buttercream borders, flowers and more; and how to add simple fondant accent decorations to your cake without all the hassle.

Beginner Fondant Techniques

Learn the basics of working with fondant. This class covers everything including how to cover a round cake with fondant icing, how to make the traditional rose, make a bow, and create a variety of basic fondant accent decorations. Students will design and decorate their cake with their flowers and accent decorations made during class. Supplies are an additional cost to the student. Please ask for a supply list.
