Surry Community College is pleased to work with Gardner-Webb University to offer a four-year Bachelor's degree completion program here on campus to students who have two years of college experience. With the Degree Completion Program, you can transfer from Surry Community College with your associate degree and in two more years obtain a Bachelor of Science degree, attending classes just two evenings a week.
Gardner-Webb University has provided NC Community College students who are pursuing an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science a completion plan for every undergraduate major offered at Gardner-Webb in the Traditional Undergraduate Program and The Degree Completion Program. By following the published completion plan, a NC Community College student will meet the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement at Gardner-Webb University.
Surry Community College is pleased to work with Lees-McRae College of Banner Elk, N.C. to offer a four-year Bachelor's degree completion program here on campus to students who have completed their A.A., A.S., A.A.S. or B.A. degrees. With the Lees-McRae K-6 Education program, you can transfer from Surry with your associate degree and in two more years obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree, attending classes on a part-time basis. In addition, we have added a Birth to Kindergarten program designed for students completing their A.A.S in Early Childhood as well as a Criminal Justice program for students completing their A.A.S in Criminal Justice or Latent Evidence.
Students who complete an approved associate degree are guaranteed admission to East Carolina University. Benefits also include a waived application fee, dedicated transfer coach, and joint advising with SCC. Students have access to all of ECU's resources including the library, athletic ticket options, campus recreation, and much more prior to arriving at ECU. See the website for more details!
The Pathways to Excellence program is a partnership between UNCW and 47 Community Colleges within the North Carolina system. It is a pathway for guaranteed transfer admission to UNCW for students completing an Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, or Associate of Engineering with a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in transferable college-level coursework.
As a pathway for guaranteed transfer admission, the Pathways to Excellence program does not apply to first-year admission. Students planning to apply as first-year students, including dual-enrolled or early college high school students, should not pursue the Pathways to Excellence program.
