The ABE program provides instruction for adults who want to improve their reading, writing, math, and employability skills. Our goal is to help individuals function more effectively in society. Classes are available in Dobson, Elkin, Mount Airy, and Yadkinville.
College and Career Readiness also offers ABE classes explicitly designed for adults with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injury. The focus of these classes is to improve the individuals’ independence by acquiring necessary basic life skills from math and reading skills to job development. Students also gain appropriate communication and socialization skills as well as full access to a computer lab. The class is available at Creating Successful Learners in Mount Airy. Online options are available as well.
