Complete Your Admission

Now that you have completed the first two steps of the admission process, these are the next steps to becoming a student at Surry Community College. Completing these items will help to prepare you for success on your educational journey.

Submit Official Transcripts

Submit official high school, high school equivalency, or adult high school transcript and college transcripts to:

Military Transcripts

All Active Duty, Reserve, and Veterans of the Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy can request a Military Transcript through the Joint Service Transcript system.

**Non-degree seeking students are not required to submit official transcripts, unless pre-requisites are needed for course registration.


Complete Placement Testing

As Surry Community College continues to navigate the uncertainties due to COVID-19 Pandemic, the top priority is the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff. 

There will be limited testing capacity in the Testing Center due to social distancing restrictions. The Testing Center can accommodate up to nine people with social distancing. Students are required to schedule an appointment to ensure testing space, and will be required to wear a mask or face covering during testing. 

Students who need to take the RISE placement test will need to set up an EdReady account prior to testing. You will need a valid email address and password to create an account.
