Our friendly staff will help you determine your educational path, guide you through the steps to apply to college, complete a financial aid application, and register for classes. We’re right beside you every step of the way.

Apply & Get Enrolled

  1. Complete the NC Residency Determination Interview: Applicants will need their Residency Certification Number (RCN) to complete Step 2. Navigate to the NC Residency Determination website and complete the interview. Do not forget to write down the Residency Certification Number when it is assigned.
  2. Complete the Application for Admission: Apply online at CFNC.org using the Residency Certification Number provided in step 1. The application user name and password is the same as the one you used in Step 1.
  3. Complete your financial aid: Visit the financial aid page to learn how to apply.
  4. Complete your scholarship applications: A number of scholarships are provided by various clubs, organizations, businesses, and individuals.
  5. Finalize your admissions requirements: Complete your admissions by submitting your transcripts, and taking placement tests.
    If you are applying for a health science program, then review and complete additional program requirements.
    If you are a non-U.S. citizen, then review deadlines and submit required documents.
  6. Access and explore myKnightLife: myKnightLife is your student resource portal. Refer to your acceptance letter for login credentials.
  7. Contact Student Services: Call (336) 386-3264 or email studentservices@surry.edu to schedule a G.P.S. (Guide, Plan, and Succeed.) session and register for classes.
  8. Pay for classes: Determine your payment options and pay for your classes.
  9. Buy textbooks and supplies: Purchase textbooks and supplies at the campus bookstore or online.
