College Leadership
Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees serves as the governing body of Surry Community College. The Board meets at least ten times annually, typically on campus, and acts on behalf of the citizens and institutional founders of the College. Trustees are entrusted to exercise their independent judgment and conscience in making decisions that support the College's mission and long-term success.
A primary responsibility of the Board is to provide strategic leadership by establishing the institution's direction and ensuring that adequate resources are available to fulfill its educational mission. The Board also serves a critical fiduciary role, overseeing financial stewardship, budgeting, investments, and endowment management.
In addition, the Board is responsible for establishing institutional policies, preserving and enhancing the College's physical assets, and supporting efforts to secure additional resources through advocacy and fundraising activities. Through these responsibilities, the Board helps ensure the continued strength, stability, and effectiveness of Surry Community College in serving its students and community.

President's Cabinet
The President’s Cabinet serves as the executive management team for the president to provide effective leadership for the college. The Cabinet serves to provide advice and counsel to the president, to prepare items for consideration and decision making, and to coordinate activities and work across divisions.
