The purpose of the SCC CARE (Crisis Assessment, Response, and Evaluation) Team is to provide a cross-functional, multidisciplinary point of contact for members of the college to report troubling or threatening behaviors of campus community members.
The CARE Team will evaluate and respond to reports brought to the attention of the team. The CARE Team will also support those in need of guidance or other interventions and refer them to appropriate campus and community resources.
To report an issue, follow the appropriate guidelines below:
All campus community members are responsible for reporting concerning behavior to the Crisis Assessment, Response, and Evaluation Team. If an incident is an imminent threat, the observer should call 9-1-1 immediately.
To assist in the maintenance of a safe, supportive campus environment through effective communication, interventions, and referrals.
The Crisis Assessment, Response, and Evaluation Team will receive reports of concerning behavior, and circumstances of violence, threatening behavior, unwanted pursuit, or harassing behavior. In an effort to protect the campus community, CARE will investigate and respond to all reported behaviors. CARE may recommend some or all of the following:
