Surry Community College - Dobson Campus

Surry Community College is located in Dobson, North Carolina in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and services Surry and Yadkin Counties. Founded in 1964, the college is a two-year, comprehensive college with an open-door admissions policy.

Center for Public Safety

Located in Mount Airy, NC (behind Arby's), the Center for Public Safety offers many Corporate and Continuing Education programs, Public Safety Courses, trade classes and human resource development programs to help the unemployed and underemployed.

These programs include Emergency Medical, BLET (Basic Law Enforcement Training), Fire & Rescue, Career Readiness Certifications and Computer Skills courses.

Elkin Center

The Elkin Center is one of two CLEAR Sites (Center for Learning, Education, And Retraining). This location offers many of our basic skills, continuing education classes and core curriculum classes.

The Elkin Center is conveniently located near the intersection of CC Camp Road and N. Bridge Street.

Pilot Center

The Pilot Center is one of two CLEAR Sites (Center for Learning, Education, And Retraining). Offering Corporate and Continuing Education classes as well as college credit curriculum classes this center is located about ten miles north of King, just a few miles east of U.S. Route 52, in the former Amos and Smith building on Main Street.

This center was made possible by a grant from the Golden Leaf Foundation to assist the Pilot Mountain community, and other east-side Surry County residents, to obtain workforce training and provide local educational access to help in the tough economy.

Yadkin Center

Established in 2003, this 25,000 square foot center includes a learning center, automotive shop, teleconference rooms and computer labs. The Yadkin Center is located on highway 601 in the heart of Yadkinville, with easy and quick access to US-421. It is home to Yadkin County Early College High School, many Corporate and Continuing Education programs, and general education classes for SCC curriculum programs.
