Learn Fondant Techniques in Surry CC Class

Surry Community College is offering a cake decorating class March 20 through April 3 for those interested in learning Beginner Fondant Techniques.

Students enrolled in the course will learn to cover a round cake with fondant icing, make the traditional rose, make a bow, and create a variety of basic fondant accent decorations. By the end of the course, students will be able to design and decorate their own cakes with flowers and accent decorations like those made during class.

The class will meet on Mondays from 6 to 9 p.m. in Room 111 of the Center for Public Safety, 1220 State St., Mount Airy. Pre-registration and pre-payment of $50 are required. Supplies are an additional cost to the student. Please ask for a supply list. Call (336) 386-3398 for more information.
